The lung is being considered as one of the hardest-working organs in the body as it expands and contracts up to 20 times a minute to supply oxygen and to expel carbon dioxide from the body. We can say oxygen is the fuel of life as it keeps us alive. There are various factors, such as bad habits (smoking, drinking), an unhealthy diet, virus and genetics that hampers its functions and may infect lungs. The lungs may have a wide range of medical condition. The more common problems are asthma and lung cancer. Its symptoms may vary from mild to severe such as shortness of breath, long-lasting cough, chest pain, weight loss, and headache. Sometimes it might be deadly and does not show any symptoms.

Here we are listing some common symptoms that show your lungs are failing.

1. You're always out of energy.

Do you always feel drained out and enervated? Do you feel difficulty while walking on stairs? It is difficult for you to manage even household chores. You feel fatigue after performing the mild exercise. It simply means your body has become oxygen deprived. As oxygen produces energy to perform its functions.

2. Difficulty in catching your breath.

Do you feel difficulty in breathing? Do you feel shortness of breath more frequently? Is it become hard to get your breath back. Then you might be suffering from lung diseases. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should consult your doctor without any delay.

3. You feel sleepy and confused.

Do you know that 20 % of your body’s oxygen supply is used by your brain? If your brain does not get the optimum oxygen it may not perform well. Resulting, you may suffer from confusion, senselessness or unconsciousness. 

4. You've lost weight but don't know why.

Are you experiencing unexpected weight loss? You have started looking pale and thin. Your muscles are aching and you feel restless throughout the day. You have started eating less as compared to before. Then, these symptoms might alert you against lung diseases.

5. You're constantly coughing-

Are you suffering from a long lasting cough? A cough that comes with blood and fever. You should consult your doctor if it remains for more than 3 weeks.

It is recommended to you if you experience any of these symptoms, you should immediately consult with your doctor to get an early treatment. As an early treatment always gives you best outcomes and prevents further medical complications.
