Squint surgery is a very common eye operation. In squint, one eye looks forwards to focus on an object, the other eye turns either inwards, outwards, upwards or downwards. This surgery usually involves tightening or moving one or more of the outside eye muscles which move the eye so that the eyes line up better. Squint surgery is done under general anesthetic (where you're asleep) and usually takes less than an hour after surgery you can usually go home the same day.
